About
Research interests center on the relationship between public relations message design and organizational reputation. Within this subject, case studies (using rhetorical criticism) include foci on power and public relations; narrative, organizational archetypes, environmental communication, international public relations, community relations, and image repair. Several rhetorical theories and methodologies inform my work, especially the writings of Kenneth Burke. Postmodern philosophical interests include the oeuvres of Michel de Certeau and Pierre Bourdieu. I coauthor books and articles with Peter M. Smudde, Ph.D., APR.
